We have keen bird watching friends coming next week and I would love to take them to see some flamingos. Anyone know the best place to see them? Or any other good twitcher places come to that.

There are some pink flamingoes locally (generally short term migrants) but the nearest breeding site is Camargue.

There are thousands at the African Reserve at Sigean.

We have seen flamingoes near Peyriac-de-Mer, just off the A9 between Narbonne and Port-la-Nouvelle. You can park and do a lovely walk round the étang, and hopefully see flamingoes. You might need binos

Thank you all for the info, Peyriac sounds ideal. Apologies for leaving the "e" out of flamingoes on my original post, spelling was never my strong point!!!
