RESTAURANT REVIEW - Cafe de France Ceret

Went to the Cafe de France yesterday for lunch. We used to eat there quite regularly but haven't been since the end of last year.

The standard is still very good indeed.

We took the menu of the day which was 19 euros a head, and had a lovely foie gras terrine as a starter, pave of salmon with a tomato tian, followed by a chocolate sable.

Really, really lovely food in a great environment - and the service was super too!

Highly recommended.

The actual set menu is 16€ a head, it's also changed weekly.
My advice is if someone says something is particularly very good, don't wait to go as the menu will be changed & it wont necessarily be there anymore!
They also have a vast ice cream menu. I highly recommend the Picasso, ideally for two people or more, it's an assortment of 3 scoops of ice cream (of your choice) and 7 mini-scoops of different ice creams & sorbets (the barmaid's choice).
