Kodi
Has anybody loaded Kodi? Our son in Madrid recommended it. Apparantly it's excellent, it receives all the usual TV channels and all films immediately after they are released. The TV channels still freeze like Filmon for us near Thuir, but the movie channels seem to work. It would probably work better in Perpignan where you can get optic fibre.

Re: Kodi
Kodi is the new name for XBMC (it was renamed last year) and has been available on Android TV boxes and other devices for some time.Daphne wrote:Has anybody loaded Kodi? It is very hobbyist and as far as I know, none of the TV apps are official versions, they are just produced by enthusiasts and as such are prone to stop working from time to time. Other than the on-line community, there are no support resources available.
The majority of films are illegal copies and as such are of varying quality. France proactively discourages film piracy and monitors downloads.
Kodi does have lots of enthusiastic users, the Filmon apps are unofficial and as such bypass some of Filmon's membership checks and it is widely claimed that you can watch in HD without paying for it.
On the plus side it can be easily operated with a remote control

You mean that you can rip everyone off, and have hours of geeky fun, and the remote control is the "plus side"?Allan wrote:Daphne wrote:Has anybody loaded Kodi? Our son in Madrid recommended it.
