Crested Bird

Post by edann42 »

We have been hearing an unusual noise in the garden recently and thought at first it was an alarm or something similar! Today, however, we saw a bird sitting on the chimney and it was this that was making the noise!

It was, maybe, the size of a small pigeon, had a long beak (1.5 inches) and was crested!

It emitted it's call every few seconds!

Any ideas please, as to what type of bird it is ????

At five in the morning? :D

We quite often see them feeding on our lawn (well some grass some weeds) during the day.

Russell.
