Le Grain de Folie, Perpignan
We've been to this restaurant twice in the last 6 months and both times I've been really impressed by the food and the laid-back atmosphere.
Last night we hosted a wine dinner for 24 people and the dishes created were all wonderful.
The gastronomy is of a very high level. Top quality ingredients, innovative flavour combinations, cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. I'm sure this restaurant would be in line for Michelin star if it invested in a more modern look and had a few more flunkies. Fortunately for us, the prices remain firmly in the real world and we get to eat very special food from one of the regions best chefs.
It is at 71 Avenue Gén Leclerc, near the main bridge over the Tet and almost next door to Les Comptoires des Crus wineshop.
