Flour weevils
About a month ago I bought some flour from our corner shop. I very rarely use it, and placed the bag into a lidded container. To my horror, when I needed some a few days ago, the entire bag was alive with flour weevils, and I mean ALIVE !!
I have chucked every bit of dry food in the house, and washed every surface, kitchen units inside and out, fridge and cooker with neat bleach - I still have a few of the beasties every morning.
Goggle info suggested freezing replacements for a few days, they don't seem to be bothered.
Having a dog, I can't fumigate the kitchen.
Any ideas ?

No ideas, sorry.
But this happened to me once. I bought flour from the little corner shop and there were these crawly things in it the first time I opened it.
I took it straight back to the shop.
Little man just shrugged.
Can't remember if he gave me my money back.
Can't believe I would have wanted a replacement.

Could possibly also be the Mediterranean Flour Moth if the larvae look like this:
Both the moths and the larvae are under 1cm in length.
They are very common!!

Google Mediterranean Flour Moth for more info.
Picture (size is about 1=1 in the photo) shows typical infestation in flour:

This year I've found the flour moths hard to control. We bought some fly-paper type sticky pads which we stuck on the doors of the cupboards, it's pretty effective. Also recommend moving all dried goods into sealed jars upon opening.
