This is a restaurant we drove past a couple of weeks ago, we did not call in then as we had just eaten Tapas somewhere else.

It is on the road from Figueres to llanca...........about midway between the twojust after peralada from the figueres end

It is Buffet style but the do haveCarte too.

Don't go thinking qlong the lines of the all you can eat rubbish at la Jonq; this is a different class altogether.
You can sit in the gardens or inside where it is clim controled (as we all did yesterday out of baking heat)

We were shown to our table by a very polite waiter and asked if we wanted apperos, which we didn't. We stuck with the offered house wine and chose Rose and a littre bottle of water.

Off to the buffet, which on the salad/entre side had the usual salads plus pate, charcuterie, tuna, anchoves, sardines, asparagus, terrines to name a few.
the hot plate side had an assortment of sausages:boudin noir steak , breaded chicken , Paella, pasta bake; something that I think was pollenta with cheese(one of us tried it , so not sure)tortilla, asperges in bacon and baked in cheese and a delicious tomato sauce, gespacho soup and a lovely variety of breads including pan tomate. oh and veal and mushrooms in sauce that outie said was superb.

deserts, well there were soooo many................;and myself and the girls sampled a lot of them

from a rich chocolate mouse to little cakes with almond to fresh and tinned fruits, churos with individual sugars oh and there are bottles of digestive in the fridge with little glasses for you to serve yourself.

9 euros 90 perperson and that included the wine and water in the price but tva is on top, I think the bill for 4 of us was 46.00euros

The place was busy but not cramped and there was a mix of spanish and french............oh and a few more brits too.

Sounds lovely.
We just came back from a good place in St. Laurent de la Salanque.
Ust up the road so we walked.
As we have just staggered back this minute you'll have to wait for the write-up but we were very pleased.
Must jump in the pool and then have another coffee and a brandy peut-etre.
