Spatulan or Catanish
I started to learn Spanish a few years ago for a bet. Then we moved here so Brains decided it would be cool to learn Catalan. Now I have a strangled mix of both and I rarely know which one to use. I'm quite possibly using both in the same sentence. Never really sure!
Catalunya is allegedly Catalan speaking but it seems that whichever one I start speaking in the response ( if at all) comes in the other one. I guess one day I'll sort it out!

Re: Spatulan or Catanish
I have the same problem! We have a lot of Catalan neighbours and friends, both sides of the border, and I regularly get confused when I try to sort out the languages, doesn't help that we also speak another mix of languages in our house. I think there is also quite some difference in the Catalan either side of the border and the mix with French is also not easy. My conclusion is to join in with a couple of glasses of wine and then everybody seems to understand what I am trying to say or at least pretend to!catllar wrote:I started to learn Spanish a few years ago for a bet.
