Carpet cleaning

Does anyone have any experience of carpet cleaning please?

We have a 6 square metre (approx) pure wool pile carpet bought from John Lewis many years ago. We have managed to get some brown wood fire door cleaner stains on it, which we have been able to partially remove with a mild soap solution. However, in reality, the whole carpet could do with a clean and we have bought a can of Mir `tapis moquette`which was recommended. But we are wondering if it may be better to get it cleaned professionally, if such a service exists. Or could we hire a carpet cleaner from somewhere?

For cleaning carpets` we have found the best way is with a carpet cleaner....we live nr le Boulou and you can hire professional set from Lopez hire just near to Netto...they charge about 25€ per day and sell the chemical by the amount you use....seems to work well ..0468832397
