The above is the website for the St Andre kennels. We always use them for our dogs and would highly recommend them.

They were in 2 or 3 weeks ago. They are housed in the small dog section. I assume yours would be with the bigger dogs. No doubt they shouted to each other though!!

kennels

Post by ruby »

Hi

we have two big dogs and have also used Domaine Maynard previously - their kennels are much better for the larger breeds as they are not concrete floors. They do not walk them though.
We have also used two others one in Rivesaltes and one near Perpignan which were good for smaller breeds. Pm if you would like their details.

The previous PO Life had an advert from a guy who handles dogs. I think his name is Orlando but I might be off a little on the name. He used to have a large company handling dogs in the California, before he arrived here, so he could take good care of anyone's dog.

I met him about a year back and he's a nice man.

Check back on the previous version of the PO Life and you could check his advert.

We've got 2 medium sized dogs and have used Domaine Maynard a few times. Always very happy with them.

dog kennels

Post by Robert Ferrieux »

For very many years we sent our dogs to a lady in Salses. (Our present mutt is too old now to leave us). They always seemed happy in her house. She charges about 8/9 euros a day and you provide the food. PM for details.

boarding kennems

Post by Robert Ferrieux »

The boarding kennels mentioned by Kate some time ago offers a personal service. I phoned them a couple of days ago, but had to refuse as their tariff is way beyond our means : 45 euros a night, although they are prepared to negotiate.. They also offer dog-sitting in your own house for 40 euros a night. My dog-lady in Salses charges 7 or 8 euros per day (you have to provide the food).......... but of course she isn't tri-lingual

I am 30mins from Ceret and take pets "on Holiday" regularly. References available, dogs need to be good with other animals and children and wormed, de-flea'd etc. If you're interested, please pm me.
