Today is fantastic....warm and sunny.

Unfortunately tomorrow and for the next week it is forecast is to snow. I noticed the the lorries are ready and waiting to clear the roads. The plough blades are fitted and the grit and salt wagons are loaded.

If the weather turns out the way it is forecast there may be skiing by the end of next week. I will keep you posted as to road and piste conditions.

Nothing unfortunate about snow, but don't get snowed in ;)
The ski station should be up & running then hopefully

Cheers Sav :)

It's like to see a few words from you. And you probably know, most of you are missing your meteo and humour.

Have a good Christmas for you and your wife.

"Wife" is mostly for Mandy's pleasure. My wife was waiting for me to ask 17 years before she became officially "Wife". Sometimes men need to think about marriage for a little bit of time.

When Sav realises how hopeless I am at reporting the weather up here he may be tempted.

It's now 10.25 pm and we have 1/2 inch of snow and it is falling steadily .

Sav always tried to get me sunshine. But I will try and keep you updates on the mountain weather.

Les Angles

Snowed all last night and now have 4/5 inches in the garden and it is still snowing lightly. I know the snow ploughs are out because I got my 5.45 am wake up call by the wretched thing bumping into the house.
It is grey , overcast and not very nice.

Flippin' cold and windy here, just in time for the mother in law to arrive! Can't complain though - we've had a superb autumn so far. Take care in all that snow Jen.

Surely you should be having "warm and sunny" in the same sentence as m-i-l ? Not "cold and windy"...

You'll have to do indoor things...baking? knitting? crochet? scrabble? Does she play bridge?

She's Sicillian. Totally Cosa Nostra (not). Expecting to wake up and find a horse's head on the pillow next to me, but so far, it's just been the head of a scruffy grey dog (not the husband) with a smelly body attached to it, so I suppose I shouldnt complain! She's OK really, just makes me feel better to have a little moan and tell a few MIL jokes! Hoping she'll knit me a scarf and some gloves in the FIVE weeks they are staying!!!!!!
