I use the local Sorede plumber. His company called CCPE-it's listed on the pages jaunes. I cannot remember his name but he's here, there and anywhere. He runs around in a large green van with his name painted.

There's another name in Sorede, Prat, which is known as doing good work too.

My plumber did very nice workmanship.

If it involves anything "complicated" and not
just soldering a burst pipe or changing a tap..
I would heartily recommend Alain Marsa of
Marsa (Ets)
11 av Flamants Roses
66700 ARGELES SUR MER
04 68 81 54 50

He did all our installations and plumbing
(and electrical rewiring etc.) work while
we were in the PO. Excellent and fair!

Thank you we're giving Marsa a try.

Though Pratt is not bad he did make a mistake with us.
He fixed a problem that wasn't a problem & then wanted to charge us again for fixing the problem when we had to call him back as our leak remained. We were happy to pay for the part but didn't think it was fair to have to pay for another lot of labour, as it was his error. He got very difficult about it so we have not used him since. His prices started to go up & up too.

There are two Pratts in this area. There's one nearby your house. It's at the beginning of Rue du Mas Tarte. I think his number is #4.

The other Pratt is an older guy who does most of the plumbing for the local builder. I have used him to install an hot water tank but other than this, it was okay.

I only know the first Pratt from seeing him walking his dog.

Hi there Carol,

Try Rob Morley, his advert is in the directory. I have used for various jobs, plumbing & electrical, & I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Mention Roger Oliver (me) to him.. as we were good customers and it might help a little.. He did a super installation for us in Le Soler and all the workmen we ever had in there - for whatever small jobs - admired it!

We'd certainly second the recommendation to Rob Morley. He did some major plumbing/electrical work for us a while ago, and is now also a good friend.
Because he is the best he may be busy but call him anyway. 04 68 83 38 54 / 06 80 34 45 17.

Not quite acting Rog's, although i do "act the goat" sometimes!

Joking apart today's been non stop, perps to order a bath for a job in ceret, then electrical snagging in st cyp, then to argeles to see another client, then called in at st genis to see another on my way back to Boulou.
And the telephone says vous avez trois nouveau message!!! :o

Still gotta fund the station somehow eh? And yes all my clients say you have a "famous" name dont you Robert?
:) Cheers Rob

Having got a very expensive alternative quote we are sticking with our plumber though it's all going to be very tight in time.
