It is almost impossible for me to find this in my area, Cabestany !!!

We used Skydigi based in Ceret. Alex Hopkinson is friendly and our satellite dish has worked well since we moved here 2 and half years ago. For our chambres d'hotes we have decided to go for TNT sat which only gives a few channels in English (incl. BBC World) but also has all the free French channels, a lot of German channels, some Italian, some Spanish, etc, etc. We're probably going to ask the satellite guy in Elne (cannot remember the name).

Satellite Guy in ELne ? Argel`es ?

Anyone can recommend a REASONABLY PRICED satellite guy for Argel`es ?

I just need my two dishes ( one for UK free channels, one for French ) repositioned following a move.

IE there is nothing to repair, just an adjustment and positioning. Last time this was done it took less than an hour - but I am being quoted Euros 160 by two local sat people. Surely someone will do it for less than that ?

Happy to say that Stephen (a young Yorkshireman) of Digi TV Solutions www.digitvsolutions.com came this morning - and in two hours had completely changed our aerial, coax and run an additional branch TV connection into my daughter's room. We now have TNT digital full HD on all channels and we are totally satisfied with Stephen's punctuality, manner and above all high quality of service and components - and all that for a price about 200 euros cheaper than the local installer!

Heartily recommended without reservation anywhere in the Languedoc-Roussillon!!!

Additional tip re Sky : If you have a broadband ADSL connection in France but no satellite or other means of watching it, you can at least watch Sky News live on your PC via http://www.tv-direct.fr/live_skynews.php
You may or may not be able to receive some other listed channels on that site.. depending on technical details of which I have no knowledge (!)
