I'm ready to put my car thru certificat de contrôle technique on the event that it fails, and is to expensive to repair any advice how I dispose of my car

A scrapyard is usually a “casseâ€￾. I have no recommendations, even if I knew your location. But google or Pages Jaunes are your friends. Or if you have had it serviced here, your mechanic will know. Or even the classifieds in your local paper. You could look for someone looking to buy, or at least take away, “épavesâ€￾ which equals, roughly, dead cars.

By way of afterthought, if you fail your CT so comprehensively that they won’t let you drive it away, the people there will surely give you advice (and make a few bob into the bargain).
