Can anyone recommend a plumber to change a water meter in Villefranche .

I have no idea , I have been asked by the owner who lives in the UK . He has been told by the marie that he needs to change it because it's so old .

I dont think you are allowed to touch a water meter. I would contact the company who supplies the water to the house. Never heard of the mairie asking to change a water meter anyway as nothing to do with them.

In this village the water supplier is the Mairie.

No, Millas but I believe a number of Mairies have taken over the responsibility for water supply. If the Mairie has said that the meter needs changing I guess that's also the case in Villefranche. In any case it's worth going and speaking to them.
