Replacing glass in double glazed porte-fenêtre?

Post by Ariègeoise »

Can anyone recommend a firm or person that will do this without it costing more than a complete new unit? We have 3 identical double doored porte-fenêtres, but one of them has obviously failed and there is now a kind of dirty fug between the two panes. Don't want to replace the door completely as I don't want the masonry disruption, and I'd prefer the three to continue to match.

Any advice welcome.

Wood, or something else? But in general, I think almost anyone doing that sort of work puts out the making of the glazing, so anyone who you otherwise trust and can use a tape-measure.
