Shops that sell carpets tend to have their own subcontract fitters but be warned, carpet fitting here is normally just gluing it to the floor without underlay. I had a carpet fitter at my house today and told him I wanted gripper-rods he said he couldn't fit them and that he normally used double sided tape or glue.

In a region where most floors are tiled, it seems that the art of carpet fitting has not been developed.

You don't mention what price carpet your friend wants but for an expensive one try Cotė Deco

in the centre of Perpignan or for medium quality try Saint McClou on the route d'Espagne http://www.saint-maclou.com/

Hello Allan

As I said in the original post the carpet is for a friend. I will pass this information on to her, thanks for the help.
