Hairdresser

Post by tanyabeattie »

Can anyone recommend a good hairdresser in the Perpignan/Argeles area?

Used daughter as a guinea pig for a local one and let's just say she'd obviously missed her calling - should have been a butcher not a hairdreser... No it's my turn so I need to find someone good.

"Men & Women" 04.68.95.92.08
5 rue des Hérons Zone Artisinale
On the side road leading to Carrefour, the 1st in the block of shops there.
I think they are very good, large and airy salon with lots of space. I go to Fanny or Melanie. They also have a discount card of 10% every 5th appointment. Closed on Mon.

I went recently to Sam's Salon in Cabestany. She is English.
The salon is great and I would highly recommend her

many thanks for your suggestions. I ended up going to Isabelle at Saint Algue, in the Carrefour complex at Argeles. Was really pleased with her.

Had mine cut yesterday by Patricia at Athena, Laroque C C. It's short, but as I wanted, more or less, am pleased. I paid 29.50 for cut and blowdry

I go Liberty Coiffure, Argeles. Usually have Stephanie, who cuts mine just as I like. Unfortunately she has just left with a baby due on 20th Jan. Fortunately she tells me she is back in April. Mine is so short I dont need a blow dry. Cost of a cut 15€ which I think is a bargain! No english spoken.

I use the Liberty shop too. I'm not sure which girl cuts my hair but I can arrive around 09:00 am without any appointment and I'm brought to the chair and start cutting.

Being a boi, I'm fast and with a shampoo too, it's only 15€. With a tip, I can have a good cut for 17€. I like the people too.

I've never checked if they speak English though.

I think the boss lady, the one with the blond candy floss style, has a few words of english but not the others.

I go to a hairdresser in Argeles called Alexandrine (she is Toni and Guy trained) the salon is opposite the fountain in the village. They are really good, they have a great colourist too and one of the team is English. Always busy you will need to make an appointment.

When you say opposite the fountain is it through a gate and into a garden area before you get to the salon. I went to a salon there about 4 years ago and then it closed. I would be interested to know if it has reopened under new ownership.
