village house mediterranean coast with outside space

Post by ssyson » Wed 15 Nov 2017 15:59

The house is on the french mediterranean coast in the centre of the village yet only 2 mins from the sea. The village has a post office, bank, mini-supermarket, bakery, newsagents, pharmacy, bars, restaurants and a primary school.

It is a 2 bedroom property and sleeps 5. The total size is 75 square meters but unlike most village houses it has outside space, a terrace to the side with a limited view of the sea.

There is a bus only 2 mins walk from the house that takes you along the coast to Banyuls, Port Vendre, Collioure, Argeles-sur-mer, Elne and Perpignan. There is also a train station with a service into Perpignan on the French side and Girona or Barcelona on the Spanish side.

What else do you need to know? The house is an old fisherman's house, it is on the edge of an underwater nature reserve. The village is famous for its diving school and a number of bicycle challenges.

The house is the last village on the coast before Spain, "Cerbere"

And perhaps a bit less of the striptease before revealing the location.

Just as well we did comment: you hadn’t previously indicated that it was for rent rather than for sale. My point was that you only said “Cerbèreâ€￾ in the last line of your quite long original post.

“Apart from that Mrs Lincoln, how did you enjoy the ad?â€￾ The thread now seems OK, but you might go back and edit the original post, rather than leave people to work it out.

Don’t worry: you’re in numerous company. If you’ve ever looked at eBay, you’ll know that private sellers are staggeringly bad at describing what they’ve got to sell. I used to look at bikes occasionally (and have even bought a couple over the years, when my old one got nicked). About half the advertisers, even of quite flash bikes, didn’t seem to know, or care, that almost any half-decent bike comes in a range of 5 or 6 sizes. If I want an XL, I don’t want to be lumbered with an XS, so I guess most people just move on.

It’s entirely intellible: you know what you’ve got, and it’s quite difficult to put yourself into the shoes of a stranger.
