I suspect that youâ€™d have to look at the wording on their insurance policy. But as a hunch, and entirely on experience of French life generally, I would doubt it. The only obligations between you and the state, so far as I can find, are to keep it swept: it doesnâ€™t say who can do it. But I suspect that individual insurers may be more specific. Most French people ignore the obligation, except maybe once every ten years. But obviously that doesnâ€™t help your business. Thereâ€™s an outfit called Qualibat which certifies various building trades: if the sun were shining on you, they might even recognise your UK qualification.
