The overall French property market should continue to be relatively stable. Overall, it is likely there will be small declines over the next two years, although there will be months in which prices increase . However, in property segments where foreign buyers have a significant influence, prices will remain very depressed until the international economic situation improves.

First, who says that the French property market should continue to be relatively stable. It sure hasn't in the previous years and I cannot see it will stay stable the next years.

But looking into your business site and all of the words included, it doesn't show that you people know anything about (1) France, and (2) no idea of the French properties. It has taken quite some time to visit this site but to the great extent, it's stuffed all of the words needed to sound impressive. It shows that they want some money to handle this campaign. Possibly we could pay for this campaign with some of the ancien francs ~ this is similar as the informative this organization is researching.

I think somebody from your group should take a vacation and visit to France. Get him take notes while he's there.

FACEBOOK THOUGHTS: Remember that old phrase: if you're not paying for it, you're not the customer; you're the product being sold.

After the peaks of late 2007/early 2008 prices did fall but overall they have in fact remained relatively stable. According to the latest figures from the FNAIM that I have searched for quickly, from 3rd quarter 2011, in Languedoc Roussillon, year on year 2010 - 2011, average prices actually rose (apartments faring better than houses).

This may not be evident to househunters because there can be a large discrepancy between what a property actually sells for and the advertised price. This has been the case for some time. This is often not the fault of the agents but can be a result of unrealistic expectations from vendors, who may not be in a hurry to sell and are willing to keep their overvalued property on the market for a long time to see if anyone bites (unlikely in the current climate).
