Someone told me yesterday that everyone over 60 with a carte vitale receives a letter from CPAM offering a free injection for le grippe. Is this correct or am I right in saying it is only people with serious health problems that receive it free.

Sorry, it's for over 65s not over 60s. Also available for those with certain long term conditions.
