Carte Vitale

Post by kathyw »

I used my carte vitale for the first time today at the doctors but I still had to pay the 22 euro fee. How do I claim this back?

If you have a Carte Vitale, and they have your bank details, your money will be repaid automatically,or at least 13€ (the percentage covered by CPAM) will be.

I have never known of them not to ask for bank details so that you can be reimbursed. The remaining 8 euros or so would be reimbursed by your "private" mutuel/complimentaire. This will also automatically be paid into your bank account if you have a mutuel.

I'd agree with Paddy on this one. Whatever,it's best if you contact the CPAM,to make sure. Of course,if you have set up an on-line account

www.ameli.fr

you'll be able to check there what info they have on you.
