by calling this number am I phoning the equivalent of 999 in UK?

What is the criteria that should be taken into account when phoning this number? I don`t mean for a splinter in your finger of a blister of the foot.

I enquire because I phoned them last night when I could not stop a nose bleed after trying for nearly an hour on my elderly neighbour, they phoned a doctor who did not come out...........but she did end up going to Aand E at midnight with her son, for a cauterisation.

The Criteria is:
You phone 15 ( Samu). they will take details of the incident and advise you accordingly.

The same as 999 within the UK do.

The " Urgences" is open 24hrs day.

Every one should know which is their nearest one, you never know when you may need them.

Always bring your Carte Vital or EHIC with you.
