Eye tests in Spain

Post by Pighunter »

I just phoned the eye clinic in Ceret to arrange a test and was told that the earliest they could see me is at the end of September which is no use at all.

I am sure I read on here a long time ago about eye tests in Spain, where I am also sure that it would be much cheaper, both in terms of the test and buying glasses. I can't now find anything about it on here.

Anyone have any info please?

I found the ophthalmo in Argelès had a shorter waiting list. You could try them.

Last eyetest that I had was at Visis in Perpignan and I got an appointment within a week or so.

Maybe I was just lucky

There's an ophthalmo recently installed in Port-Vendres (six months?). I know nothing at all about her, but it's conceivable that she might be less booked-up than a longer-established practice. Details eg here

I suppose what you're saying is:

"I wanted to go for an eye checkup but the ophthalmologist couldn't see me."
