We are applying for a carte vitale and have been advised by the RSI that we need our birth certificates translated by a sworn expert. I hope I have translated the letter correct!
We live in Ceret and wondered if anyone knew of anyone who could do this in the Ceret or surrounding area.

Our UK birth certificates were accepted without translation or any query whatsoever.

This letter I received does ask for translation from an expert. Maybe if its a photocopy it may need to be certified?

Definitely worth chancing it. At worst, you might get it sent back with request for trans if you get a jobsworth. We paid 55 euros to have son's birth cert translated for his carte vitale. Some friends made the same application for their daughter without translation. No prob. Was not happy bunny!!

They most definitely will not accept photocopies.
I took originals into CPAM and they photocopied them and stamped and signed the copies before returning the originals to us.
There was no need, or request for a translation.

We attended in person at CPAM, Perpignan with all our original documents and they likewise took copies and stamped them and returned originals.
