Holidaying in Collioure 17-24 Sep '16 & Want To Mix!

We're going to be in Collioure from 17-24 September this year and would love to be able to meet/mix with people somehow, even if only for a few hours - we went to Lyon for a few days in July and had a lovely day with a local lady as part of their city greeter programme.
Our French is enthusiastic with occasional comical consequences, and our interests diverse, cultural and artistic as long as nothing too strenuous is required - the bones aren't quite as limber as they used to be.
Any ideas/offers/suggestions/propositions please?
