Just noticed (from afar) that a red alert is now in place in the PO due to torrential rain today and more forecast to come. Stay safe, everyone.

We had no electricity in Llupia from 3am Sunday until 6pm and then it went off at 10pm but just for a few minutes. Miserable long day but compared to the poor people in villages such as Rasiguers completely flooded I am not complaining! Houses with electric shutters (which are most of them) had no light at all, it was like a ghost town, talk about 'the Sound of Silence)!

Rain totals for Millas:
235 mm on Saturday
102 mm on Sunday

Maximum rain rate 231 mm/hour on Saturday!

I've never seen rain like it, even when working in Malaysia!

Hope everyone is O.K.

Are you both OK Russel?

I have to go check a house in Millas later, if I can get near!

So quick! Scary

I spotted this story/video on the l'Independant website yesterday. The video is terrifying - in a matter of seconds, a photographing trip on Sunday turned into a near-fatal incident.

Thankfully it had a happy ending!

Watched the video, it's amazing how dangerous rough seas can be. BT
