Warm and stilll so far here in Maureillas. Some fluffy white cloud hanging over mountains, which could go either way, but feeling like the beginning of another lovely day. Slightly cooler than yesterday maybe but it's only 8am. Bit more wind getting up as I write.

Hope you're wrong. (Well, hope they're wrong I should say) Going to the Guinguette in Saint Jean Pla de Corts for moules frites by the lake this evening. Home made chips and the proper little moules, I'm told. There is an inside part but it's not the same as sitting outside next to the lake so fingers crossed that it at least stays dry!! Feel so sorry for these kind of restaurants that depend on the weather, as business has been really bad for them, and several of them have already had to lay off staff.

moules frites sounds great, so long as I could have it with no moules. The lake has special haunting memories for me, so perhaps this summer I'll lay them rest by going there for a nice meal without the moules
