Spring has arrived very late in the Alps, but we have had sunshine all week until last night, when it rained again. There are still patches of snow much lower down than would be normal in June.
The ski businesses have had a good season, though, so it is not all bad news.
From next Tuesday, I will be walking swiftly from my air-conditioned room down the beach to get into what should be a nice warm Red Sea - I don't like temperatures of 45C but it is worth it for the reef!

Blue sky appearing down here in Argeles, dry and calm. Hope it stays like this as off to Ortaffa vide grenier later.

Lovely here too.....but clouds dotting the sky and looking like they could soon take over the sun completely. Off for a bike ride to the lake at St Jean so fingers crossed that we don't end up getting drenched.

We met a friend when we were out for a wander with our very old chokky labrador this morning. They had been in Carcassonne last night for a meal and it started to hammer down with wet stuff. She described it as a wall of water and there was a lot of flooding. It was on BFMTV this morning and showed some quite deep water running down the streets.

We thought that they had made a mistake on the box? We had some heavy rain here, but we are only 8 miles from Carcassonne and ours was nothing like she had described. She said that they were quite frightened!

Sready rain now, but getting a bit brighter please !!!!!

Cloud and sun here in Argeles and quite warm. Ortaffa vide grenier must have been cancelled because we drove all through the village and nothing. Found a small one at Ceret near the bridge. Also one at Le Racou but there were so many cars and people we turned around and came home!

Thundering, and becoming windy. No rain yet, but looks like it could be imminent. Bright skies in the distance but very dark here.
