... is the version everywhere I've seen for the Chelsea fans' actual chant in the metro the other day - "we are racist, and that's the way we like, we like it..."
I suppose it's partly because the construction with "on" doesn't exist in English that it seems so feeble to me (and partly because the French version has a "dying fall" when spoken: it just tails off). But is there any other way which captures the full crudity of the English?
In others respects, I suppose, it must be encouraging for the UK economy: if idiot teenagers, of all ages, can afford to lout about in Paris, adults can't be doing so badly as I've gathered from the media.
