The Mail online is riddled with poor spelling and grammar. At least they do correct it after a time.

It's kind of shocking that someone who gets paid to write headlines, presumably with a proofreader on hand, can make such a basic (if common) grammatical mistake.

I 'm not defending them as such, because yes, particularly when they're getting paid for it, and it's going out to such a wide readership, they should be getting it right. Maybe a reflection of the texto and spellcheck kids, many of whom will be the next generation of writers........BUT i know with P-O Life, I can read the same piece over and over and over and STILL not spot my mistakes, as each time I read what I THINK I've written, rather than what I have actually written.

the advantage with online is that you CAN correct it wheras once a paper copy is printed Whhhhhhoooooooooops!

You're right, Opas.
In one of yesterday's papers: " Blah...blah...blah...when her and Joe Bloggs were sat waiting for ............blah.blah..blah......."

Is it 'cos I's pedantic that it enrages me....?
