Free?

Post by Steve&Julie »

Hi. I have a few questions about Free 4G. Can anyone help please?
1) Do they do a box that devices can connect to over wi-fi?
2) Will it work with Amazon fire stick and Chromecast?
3) Will it allow or be aware of a VPN being used.
4) can normal voice calls be made on a UK mobile phone (dual SIM is possible)
5) is 4G realistic as a solution to watch 60 hours standard def TV a month?
6) is it comparable in cost to orange landline broadband?
Thanks

Yes http://mobile.free.fr/la-box-4G.html
2) Will it work with Amazon fire stick and Chromecast?
Yes

Yes but VPNs over 4G are usually slower than a normal connection you can watch UK TV without a VPN with
https://tvmucho.com/

4) can normal voice calls be made on a UK mobile phone (dual SIM is possible)
The router has its own SIM that allows mobile calls - you just plug a landline phone into it. It has nothing to do with your mobile phone ubnless you make VOIP calls with it
5) is 4G realistic as a solution to watch 60 hours standard def TV a month?
Very - the free offering allows up to 250GB a month, standard definition TV is about 1-1.5GB per hour
6) is it comparable in cost to orange landline broadband?
I believe it is cheaper and you get a discount on Free mobile phone contracts
Thanks

Yup, i can confirm Free 4G is the best budget option, but there service do vary from palce to place make sure your surrounding area has good reception. As much of the UKTV is free to air be it my5, iTV, Channel 4 or BBC a vpn comes handy. A quick overview https://www.screenbinge.com/channels/wa ... er-in-usa/
