Astra 2E Testing 22 November

Post by CharlesRyder »

Provisional testing of ASTRA 2E to begin around the 22nd November 2013.
This will during the following weeks give us a clearer indication
of exact dish sizes required if we can lock onto ASTRA 2E to
obtain a stable signal if available for Freesat channels BBC, ITV etc.

It is actually testing at the moment at 43,5 east.....

My understanding is that it may actually come into service around the 20th. November.

I hope it has a more 'Stable' Signal than 2F, as we still dont have an exact Dish size that will work around here for 2f even after 11 months....!!!
2e will of course give us a signal level to compare with 2f which will at least be a starting point.

I think this article means that the testing at 28.2°E will begin in about 3 weeks.
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

They cant actually do much Testing at 28,2 as this would interfere with the existing Frequencies and your programmes!!!
. I think that once it is in position the 'Testing' will consist of moving the channels over!!!
