Hotmail Breach of Security
A "techie" friend in England has informed me of a major breach of Hotmail security especially where password strengths are not robust.
If you receive an e-mail from a friend (who has a Hotmail account) saying "I have sent you a Google Message" with a link below, DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CLICK ON THE LINK.
It takes you to a site where your e-mail address and all those in your address book are copied and used to spread the attack.
If you ARE a Hotmail user, ensure your password is very strong........Use both upper and lower case letters and numbers.
Once this spreads there will be mails from other contacts who do not have Hotmail accounts.
Golden Rule........If you receive an e-mail from someone you know and it's not in their normal style, it's not from them! DELETE IT and let them know over the 'phone.
