Blackberry phones

My daughter has a blackberry, the roller ball/curser has stopped working.
Can anyone suggest a way to get it working again. She cannot select anything , numbers/messages etc.

I did tell her she should have stuck with the 9 quid Asda sony ericsson

Try cleaning the trackball first.

Thanks for the links, I tried the one mrob343 posted, It is working better, but not as it should. So when mlle gets in from work I shall hand her the tools of the trade ie cotton bud and alcohol manager
