recording from CD onto itunes library

When I import an album from CD onto itunes library they show up in two or three or four random chunks separted by other albums. So tracks 1 + 4 is separted from track 3 from tracks 7+12 and 8,10, 9,6 etc. (in that "order") in another place.
Any suggestions how to get them listed as one complete and consecutive album?

Hi Ellen

Have you got your library sorted by 'Album by Artist'?

I've had the same problem and I'm pretty sure that was the answer. You need to click on the 'Album by Artist' header in the bar along the top of your song list.

With the Album by Artist setting I just imported my CD and it works!
