builders guarantee

Post by opas »

I have a client who used an English ' Builder' a couple of years ago to do some works for them. As I use various forums , I noticed that this 'Builder' is selling up and returning to UK.

So far so good for my client , but what happens should the work go wrong? the builder will be back in blightly and probably doing the trade he orriginaly did befor crossing the channel.

If the builder was registered he was legally obliged to be insured and so your client is covered for 10 years by the decennale insurance. Should anything go wrong within 10 years they can claim against the insurance.
