We're feeling the nip here, and are wondering where we can get electric blankets from. I've seen them on ebay, but would prefer to buy locally. Anyone know who has them, to save me trawling the shops?

I have seen them in Darty (not cheap, but I have zero idea what they cost in the UK as comparison!) - for example
http://www.darty.com/webapp/wcs/stores/ ... ouvertrure

If you http://www.google.fr/ seardhing for couverture chauffante pages France you will find lots on the net!!

This firm seems to specialise:

Have a warm winter slumber!!
cheers,

One could suppose the Maison de la Literie near Kiabi would sell them, though it may not be the case..

Pretty sure that Expert at Le Boulou will order them for you if they don't have them in. Don't know about price though, even though we find Expert often beats the big places (and is sometimes well above too - depends on the product I suppose)

Lidl had some offered in their blurb recently ( 19€ a pop). No doubt the ones they couldn't sell in the frozen wastes of the UK,Germany,Belgium,Holland etc.

Happiness is a hot water bottle, put into bed ten minutes before you get in yourself!

Thanks everyone. Paul doesn't want my cold feet! I've had such a lousy cold lately, and I just want some comfort. Our beloved Golden Retriever Tofty is poorly too, with a weak heart - we are hand-feeding him chicken livers with his pills, and coaxing him onto his feet to go outside. He isn't in pain but is so calm, it's very sad! Please don't offer us a puppy, or tell us to have him put to sleep. We'll know when it's time.

So sorry to hear about Tofty.
I'm sure if you keep loving him he will get better.
Best wishes

Sue, Steve and I were where you are at this moment, this time last year, so we know how you are feeling, you will know.......Hope Tofty is ok soon, and being in your company with your love would pick up anyone...

For the elec blanket, do you have a 3 suisses catalogue? I too love an elec blanket, as husbands don't seem to be too keen on chilly wives, selfish swines.

Keep cuddling Tofty, love him to bits, it's the best thing you can do, and indeed you will know when the time is right.
