Carpet Underlay

Post by Mike »

Rather a strange request but the forum has answered one or two of my previous questions very well, so here goes.

I have been looking for special underlay for several of my oriental carpets. The brand I used in UK was 'Foxi'. It is in fact French. I have been to their website but it is not too informative. I have visited two agent sites, one in Le Boulou and the other in Perpignan. One wasn't there and the other was up in the hills and certainly did not seem like a carpet shop!

Any similar brand would do. It is slightly sticky and stops the rugs sliding along the tiles.

Does anyone have any recommendations? The name of one or two good carpet shops might help.

Regards.

Mike.

Not much help,I know as I've never come across "Foxi" myself, but when I went to St Maclou,on Pt Espagne,Perpignan, a few years ago inquiring about some floor covering I needed at the time, they claimed that they could order pretty much anything required if they didn't hold it in stock.

In the end I did something different, but perhaps if Foxi s is the stuff you definitely need ,you could put this claim to the test!

They have a site in French, at least
http://www.foxi-graph.com/rubrique.php3?id_rubrique=5
There are no sales outlet addresses published, but there is a phone and an email box!!
There is also a UK trade site
