Can anyone advise on a shop with a good selection of spirits? In particular Gin?

Do I assume that you’re unable to pop into Spain because obviously if you do have transport, that would be the best place to buy spirits and it’s a nice afternoon out.

Thanks for the tip.I know that the price might be better in Spain but something local might be more convenient - - at least some times.

Surprisingly well up on single malts. If gin is your preferred tipple, most of the La Jonquera supermarkets have a decent range, including Bombay Sapphire, thought the Angels' share guy probably does that too.

If you really want to throw your money away on “boutique” gin, you might need to go a bit further than La Jonquera, which (happily) is still a bit pile it high and sell it cheap. A very ordinary supermarket I go to in Figueres has multiple brands at €30 and €40 a bottle: I am sure it is excellent, within the very limited degree of excellence that gin is capable of achieving, but you would need your head examining actually to buy it. But if you think that Bombay Sappire is worth traveling for, you’ll be very happy.

I have never found anywhere in Perpignan that offers anything like the choice available at the Wine Palace in Figueres. Besides the choice, the prices are significantly better.
