Bricodepot Claira

Post by Mimmi »

Does anyone if Bricodepot is now open during lunch time? They used to do it in summer but their website says closed from 12.30 - 14.30. Grateful for any up to date Information.

They certainly were closed at lunch time the last time we were there. But that was a couple of months back. I think you are right about them opening all day during the vacances scolaires. Best to check with them on the phone first.

We do find their opening hours inconvenient as we invariably go shopping over the lunch period. Their competitors don't close.

They were closed lunchtime last month.
We have used them a lot but have been increasingly disappointed in them. Their prices are good, but the quality is questionable. The worst thing is that they seem rarely to have all the bits you need to complete the job in stock at the same time. It seems they will have every plumbing fitting you never want, but don't have the ones you need. Timber in all sizes except the one you want. It's the same for nails, screws, bolts, hinges, shutters, tiles, plaster, steel studding...We found there's always at least one bit they don't have that we need to finish the job.

We recently found AKI in Spain heading towards Roses from Figures about 500m from the NII Roses exit on the right next to McDonalds and opposite and before the Carrefour roundabout. Prices are comparable with Brico Depot, I don't know how extensive their building materials are, we're past that stage, but paint, tools, plumbing etc were very good.
