I have heard thet there is an Electrical Discount Warehouse called Electronique Depot in the Claira area north of Perpignan.
I would appreciate hearing about anybodys experience of this place,I need to replace some white goods before next summer.

Electro depot, well worth a visit.brico depot equivalent.90% rubbish 10% bargain.
Give it a go

They have had some external drives for cheaper than other places. I'm not sure about the White Goods though. Give a look at the MDA store in Mas Guerido for prices and servicing afterwards.

we bought a bargain cheap Turkish Washing Machine from a similar sort of place some 8 years ago and apart from having to replace the 'Bushes' this year it has given superb service so far..... 'touching wood' as i type.!!!
They do sell some 'crap' but a lot is end of line etc. which can be fine.

Darty are excellent, their aftersales are good too.

I bought my washing machine in 2003, the budget range and like montgolfiere I am touching wood, still going strong and only one call out about 6 months after purchase because the door jammed.

Thanks for all the advice, what about over the border in Spain ? Does anybody have experience of buying down there. ?
