Fantastic new Fish and Seafood Shop

Post by Allan »

Cabesto has recently opened on the Carrefour/Leroy Merlin site at Claira.

It focuses on products related to the sea. Bizarrely the same shop sells boat equipment, chandlery, swimming pool products and a vast selection of Frozen Fish & Seafood.

This Fish and Seafood selection is the best I have seen anywhere in Europe, unfortunately it is all frozen but there is a massive choice.

I counted around 20 different types of prawns and langoustines including the giant african varieties and several different types of lobster.

OK there is no substitute for fresh seafood but this store has products that you just cant get normally.

Thanks for that Allan. I love seafood and must make a trip there with my coolbag to check out those unusual varieties.

When I'm near Port Vendres I can't resist a trip to the fish market there. Hours of opening in the picture.
