Happy Cooking

Excellent site. Many thanks. I've already got my apron and chef's toque on!

Has anyone the recipe for the lovely catalan bread sold somedays in breadshops in Collioure - it is sort of a fluffy flat bread sprinkled with sugar. I first saw young people pulling bits off before they got out the door.
We are back in NZ and would like to bake up some for the grandchildren.

They are probably known as Bunyettes... quite fiddly to make as you can see by this you tube video

Bougnettes' [bunyetetes in catalan]are golden, puffy, sugary doughnuts. They are known by other names too: bunyols, crespells, oreillettes or garrifes. Try making them at home.
Since Rivesaltes Johnny gave me a headsup, I have found plenty of information. Merci
