A quick thank you to everyone else who offered advice.
However, I'm not sure about the Swiss bank account. Wolverhampton & Dudley breweries would get upset if I invested my millions elsewhere. :lol:

Dream on Rog. The best rates I can find on ,for example UBS,for an offshore a/c is 2.67%.

I fear you are a little out of date.

I can still get better than that on a high st Building soc in the UK!

As recently as 6 mths ago your 4.5 % would have been very uncompetitive in the UK.
