Taxe D'Habitation

Post by alan »

Martyn has mentioned in a recent post that his centre des impôts has been on strike recently. Is this the reason perhaps why we haven't received our 2018 demand yet?

We've sent an email but if they are on strike, I suppose we won't get a response.

Is it safe to see what happens or do we need to do something else? We are not out for a little while.

We hadn’t received ours and it is usually due middle of December, getting worried we went to our local tresor public and were told our TH is zero so nothing due! We got a print out in case but weren’t going to argue. Ours is usually about €23 plus the tv, but the tv is now paid with our income tax so I’m guessing that due to the coming fade out we are under a threshold for this year?

We are non-resident so I'm sure we shall have something to pay something but how do we pay it if we don't know what's due?
