For anyone new to this annual delight, if you have a U.K. Bank Account, you need to download and complete a Form 3916, the link for which I attach.
You need a separate 3916 for EACH account held overseas.

A 3916 can be downloaded from the following link;
http://www.impots.gouv.fr/portal/deploi ... e_6165.pdf

You get the form (2 pages A4) + 2 pages of instructions.

You must submit a 3916 for every account including any closed in the previous tax year.

Will have a look and see how to do on-line.

Paper Declarations starting to arrive

An English friend received his 2047 K this morning but not the main declaration (2042 K)
As this is only their second French Tax Declaration, I went to assist. Their 3916 & 2042 are now ready for submission but I need to advise you that;

The 2015 form 2047K has been completely redesigned compared with previous years and is completely different to published Tax Guides for 2016 (2015 Income)

Proceed with caution please :book:

Has any one else had difficulty logging into the impot.gouv.fr portal?

I just keep getting the error message: "Vous ne pouvez pas accéder à votre espace Particulier et utiliser les services en ligne. Veuillez nous en excuser.
Nous vous invitons à contacter votre centre des Finances Publiques."

I have changed my password but with the same result.

Are you French tax payers? If you are tax resident in the U.K. then you cannot go online in France as you need;
1 A Tax Reference N° (Supplied after your first paper return)
2 A Fiscal Reference (which is last year's tax liability)
If you ARE tax resident in France your first declaration must be made on paper before you can register online for the following year's Declaration des Revenus.

Thank you Smiley G

We are tax resident in UK but still have had to submit a French tax return for the last few years.

Consequently. we have a Numéro fiscal and have been successfully using the impots.gouv.fr online service for several years, to submit our return and pay Tax d'habitation and Tax Fonciere.

It was only when I tried to log in today that I had a problem.

I have emailed the Help Desk and the Non Residents Tax Office, but no response [as yet].
