......after warnings of increased checks and queues....

Kate - we crossed the border at Perthus on Friday 10th at around 11am, and returned from a short break down the coast on Sunday 12th at 4pm. Absolutely no problem either way. Still plenty of shoppers. There were eight French and Spanish police watching traffic but no holdups. Some friends had a similar experience last week, and just saw the young driver of one oldish car being questioned
