Better than Ryanair????

Better than Ryanair????

Post by Merisin »

A friend flew KLM last week. Schipol to Minneapolis. Passengers were told to remain seated at all times. If they needed to use the loo they were only allowed to go to the nearest. Only one person was allowed to stand and queue. And there are those that denigrate O'Leary!!!!!!

Same question that we asked. Answer was no. Smooth flight all the way!

I've flown KLM many times and have never had such restrictions but they all seem pretty sensible so what's the problem?

It could be that either a V.I.P. was on board, or a prisoner being escorted to the U.S.A. Both situations might have warranted restrictions on passenger mobility.
If you think about it, when a Ryanair pilot or co-pilot want to use the toilet in-flight, the seat belt signs go on to secure the flight deck area.
I agree it's unusual if there wasn't a turbulence problem, but then again who knows who is on a continental flight?

If I were ever bothered about restrictions during a flight I would ask why, at the time. But I would also comply, of course

I had to fly with Wizz Air last weekend.

You have to pay extra to have a cabin bag that won't go under your seat, the seats are so close together that everyone over 5 feet tall needs to sit at an angle, my food tray kept falling down and couldn't be used for drinks anyway as it tilted so much.

Flying on Ryanair 3 days later was like getting a business class upgrade!
